Bamboo Waffle Hair Towel
Made from 100% CleanBamboo® Lyocell | OEKO-TEX® Certified

Most hair towels are an afterthought — a regular bath towel or a microfiber wrap that creates friction, frizz, and breakage without you realizing it's the towel causing the problem. This one is designed differently, from the material up.

The Bamboo Waffle Hair Towel is made from 100% CleanBamboo® Lyocell in a waffle weave — a texture that absorbs water quickly without dragging against the hair shaft. Less friction means less frizz, less breakage, and less time waiting for your hair to dry. The fabric also wicks moisture away rather than trapping it, so it dries faster between uses than cotton — which tends to stay damp and become a breeding ground for bacteria over time.

The design is crescent-shaped to sit naturally on your head, with an elastic band and stretchy waffle fabric that adjusts to fit most hair types — curly, fine, thick, everything in between. It fastens with a tagua nut button, which is a hard seed harvested from palm trees in South America, used here as a plastic-free alternative to synthetic closures. A small detail, but a considered one.

It comes pre-washed and packaged in a reusable drawstring bag made from recycled polyester, and includes a hook loop for hang drying between uses. The fabric gets softer and more absorbent with each wash — not the other way around.

Why we love it:

  • 100% CleanBamboo® Lyocell — no synthetic blends
  • Waffle weave absorbs quickly with minimal friction — less frizz and breakage
  • Wicks moisture away and dries faster than cotton
  • Crescent shape with elastic band fits most hair types
  • Tagua nut button — plastic-free, sustainably harvested closure
  • Gets softer and more absorbent over time, not less
  • Hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin
  • Hook loop included for hang drying
  • Pre-washed and packaged in a recycled polyester drawstring bag
  • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified

Native Manor Note: Conventional terry cloth and microfiber towels both create friction against the hair cuticle — terry cloth because of its looped texture, microfiber because of its static charge. That friction is a major contributor to frizz, split ends, and breakage, especially for people with curly or fine hair. Bamboo lyocell's smooth fiber structure reduces that friction significantly, and the waffle weave adds absorbency without adding weight or drag. The tagua nut button is worth noting too — most hair towel closures are plastic or elastic that degrades quickly. Tagua is durable, biodegradable, and harvested without cutting down the tree. It's the kind of swap that doesn't make headlines but adds up.
