Bath time for a baby involves a lot of contact — warm water, immediate toweling, skin that's more permeable and more sensitive than adult skin. What you wrap them in right after matters more than most people think, and most hooded baby towels on the market are conventional cotton treated with finishing chemicals that haven't been independently verified for infant safety.

The Bamboo Waffle Hooded Baby Towel is made from 100% CleanBamboo® Lyocell — the same fiber used across the adult towel line, held to the same OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. That certification means every component has been independently tested and verified free from harmful substances, including pesticide residues, heavy metals, and formaldehyde. It's the right standard to hold a baby product to.

The waffle weave absorbs quickly and releases moisture fast, so it wicks water away from baby's skin rather than trapping it. It dries significantly faster than cotton terry between uses, which means less time sitting damp and less opportunity for bacteria and mildew to develop. The texture is gentle enough for newborn skin while providing light, natural exfoliation as baby grows. Like all CleanBamboo® towels, it gets softer and more absorbent with each wash rather than breaking down over time.

At 33" x 33" with a 7" hood, it's sized to wrap comfortably and keep baby's head warm right out of the water. It comes pre-washed and packaged in a reusable drawstring bag made from recycled polyester, and includes a hook loop for hang drying between uses.
