Cashmere has a reputation that's hard to argue with — the softness is real, and so is the problem. Conventional cashmere relies on goat farming practices that have contributed to significant land degradation across Central Asia, and the fiber itself is often chemically treated during processing. The Vegan Cashmere Throw is made from 100% CleanBamboo® Lyocell — a fiber that achieves cashmere-level softness through the natural properties of the bamboo plant rather than animal fiber. At 250gsm, it has the weight and drape of a quality throw without feeling heavy or stiff. The loop embroidery detail on the fabric surface adds subtle texture, and twisted knotted tassels finish each end — details that make it feel considered rather than generic.

It's sized at 50" x 70", which is large enough to use as a proper blanket on a couch or bed, and lightweight enough to fold down for travel. PETA-approved vegan, hypoallergenic, and processed through a closed-loop system that recaptures solvents rather than releasing them. It carries OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification — independently tested and free from harmful substances. Native Manor Note: The softness of cashmere comes from the extremely fine diameter of the goat fiber — typically 14–19 microns. CleanBamboo® Lyocell achieves a comparable result through a different mechanism: the bamboo fiber is naturally smooth and round in cross-section, which means it lies flat against the skin rather than creating the microscopic friction that makes coarser fibers feel scratchy. The result is a throw that passes the cashmere hand-feel test without the land degradation, animal welfare concerns, or chemical finishing that conventional cashmere typically involves. The glassine packaging is a small but consistent detail — it biodegrades completely, unlike the poly bags most textile products arrive in.
