Bread Bag | Beeswaxed
Bread Bag | Beeswaxed
100% Cotton + Organic Beeswax | 13" x 17"
A bread bag that keeps a loaf fresh the way people did before plastic bags existed — cotton and beeswax, nothing else.
The bag starts as 100% cotton fabric, personally sourced, then cut and sewn by local women in North Alabama. Organic beeswax is infused into the cotton using heat and pressure — no added resins or oils, just beeswax — creating a fabric closer to lightweight waxed canvas than a standard bread bag. That wax coating does real work: it helps prevent mold growth while keeping bread fresh far longer than a plastic bag would, without introducing any plastic into the process. At 13" x 17", it's sized to fit even a large loaf of sourdough — slip the bread in and tuck the end underneath to seal it.
It's washable, reusable, non-toxic, and fully biodegradable at the end of its life — plastic-free from the cotton to the packaging. Each bag is handmade one at a time, not mass-produced, a genuinely small-batch product behind the scenes.
